Sir Roger Fry CBE D Litt
Roger Fry was born in Portsmouth and educated in England before entering the teaching profession.
In the late 1960’s he moved to Spain and in 1969 founded King’s College, The British School of Madrid. He subsequently founded five other schools in three countries: Spain and Panama.
In 1981 he founded the British Hispanic Foundation in Madrid
From 1996 to 2011 he was chairman of the Council of British International Schools and is now its President.
In 2012 he was awarded a knighthood for his services to UK Education Internationally and to UK-Spain Cultural Relations.

Dr. Engineer in Mining and Economist, PhD in Civil Engineering (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA), I have been CEO of Ertisa and Rio Tinto Minera and Chairman of Asturiana de Zinc and Union Naval de Levante. I have also been General Manger of the Botin Foundation. I have belonged to the Management Boards of Abengoa, Urbis, Brithish Telecom Spain and I am currently on the Board of FRV and I am Chairman of the Advisory Board of IE University. President of the Dukes of Soria Foundation and Rio Tinto Foundation, Vice President of the Catholic Education Foundation and the ANAR Foundation, also patron of other Foundations. I have a Grand Cross of Alfonso X the Wise and I am Marquees of Valdecañas and Count of Guadalhorce.
Lady Fry was born in Madrid and educated in Spain and in the UK. Married with a family of three, now adult offspring, her interests are in welfare and education and are centred on the care of underprivileged children. She helps part time in an orphanage and is active in fund raising for a large charity that supports children in care.

Mr Julian Foot FCA CTA, also a qualified Spanish accountant, has over 40 years of international experience spread over the fields of information technology, audit, taxation and business consultancy in general. Most of his career has been spent with PwC.
|Mr Michael John (MJ) Holloway OBE
MJ Holloway was British Ambassador to the Republic of Panama between 2011-2013 before leaving the UK’s Diplomatic Service to pursue other interests. As a diplomat, MJ became a Latin American specialist serving in Mexico (twice) and Brazil with focus on trade and investment promotion. When Consul-General in Spain and Regional Consular Director for Iberia between 2005-2010, he pioneered the UK’s current global consular operation, improving customer service. He was educated at St Edmund’s School, Canterbury, Kent.

|Elena Benito (CEO)
Ms Elena Benito is the CEO of King’s Group, where she joined in 2011. Previous to joining our Group, she worked as CFO for Zed Latam, and Finance Director for Monsanto in Spain and Portugal. Ms Benito trained as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte in both Spain and the UK, and is a member of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the San Pablo CEU University of Madrid, and a degree in Law from the UNED. She won her MBA from ESADE in 2009.
|Mr Nicholas Fry
Nicholas joined the Group in 2008 and currently serves as the Vice Chairman responsible for all non-academic related divisions. Before joining the Group, Nicholas worked in the United Kingdom and holds a law degree from Oxford Brookes University and a MA degree in Human Resources from UDIMA. An avid historian he is a Freeman of the City of London and Secretary General of the British Hispanic Foundation in Madrid.
Sir Ivor Roberts KCMG
Sir Ivor Roberts Educated at Oxford. Career diplomat in the Foreign Office from 1968 to 2006. Postings to the Middle East Centre for Arab Studies in Lebanon, Paris, Luxembourg, Canberra, Vanuatu (formerly New Hebrides), Minister in the British Embassy in Madrid, Ambassador in Belgrade, Dublin and Rome. From January 1998 to February 1999 he was on a sabbatical as a Senior Associate Member of St. Antony’s College, Oxford, writing and lecturing.
Sir Ivor is an Honorary Fellow of Keble College Oxford, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (FCIL) and a member of the Advisory Board of and frequent contributor to the MacKinder Forum. He is a Patron of the Venice in Peril Fund and was Chairman of the Council of the British School in Rome from 2007 to 2012.
In the 1995 Queen’s Birthday Honours List he was made a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG) and in the 2000 List was made a Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG).He is the editor of and major contributor to the new edition of the classic work Satow’s Diplomatic Practice (OUP 2009).
